Harry Styles, Halsey, Ed Sheeran Headed For Top 15 At Pop Radio

“Sign Of The Times,” “Now Or Never,” and “Castle On The Hill” are set to join the Top 15.

Harry Styles’ “Sign Of The Times,” Halsey’s “Now Or Never,” and Ed Sheeran’s “Castle On The Hill” are poised to move into the Top 15 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Sign Of The Times,” currently the most-played of the three, received 4,385 spins during the first five days of the April 23-29 tracking week. Up 17.1% from the count at this point last week, “Sign Of The Times” is #14 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Halsey’s “Now Or Never” is #16 on the building chart (3,601 spins, +27.1%), while Sheeran’s “Castle On The Hill” is #17 (3,352, +46.4%).

At first glance, one may wonder why this data confirms that “Now Or Never” and “Castle On The Hill” are Top 15-bound. They, after all, are below the Top 15 on the building chart.

The answer is that The Weeknd’s building #11 “I Feel It Coming (featuring Daft Punk)” and ZAYN & Taylor Swift’s building #12 “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” are due to be removed from the chart as recurrents. Their removal will bump all lower-ranked songs up by two places, thus bringing the Halsey and Sheeran tracks into the Top 15.

Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” is set to take #1 on this week’s listing.
