Ratings Update: “Grey’s Anatomy” Holds Steady, “Scandal” Rises”

The final ratings report confirms that “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Catch” held steady this week. “Scandal” was up.

Update: While the preliminary ratings suggested that Thursday’s “Grey’s Anatomy” fell in the adults 18-49 demographic, the final report confirms that it held steady this week.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “Grey’s” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 7.02 million overall viewers. Last week’s episode drew a 1.8 rating and 7.19 million viewers.

Airing out of “Grey’s Anatomy,” fellow “TGIT” drama “Scandal” rose to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 5.19 million viewers this week. Last week’s episode, which followed a “Scandal” re-run, drew a 1.3 and 5.11 million.

“The Catch” closed ABC’s night with a 0.6 and 2.99 million. Last week’s episode drew a 0.6 and 2.98 million.

“Grey’s Anatomy,” which was on hiatus last week, returned with an original this week.

It endured episode-to-episode losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “Grey’s” drew a 1.7 adults 18-49 and averaged 6.88 million overall viewers. The numbers trail the 1.8 rating and 7.19 million viewer mark drawn by the previous broadcast.

The adults 18-49 rating actually ties a series low.

While “Grey’s” itself was down, its presence seemed to help “Scandal” and “The Catch.” Both shows rose in comparison to last week’s episodes, which did not benefit from the “Grey’s” lead-in.

“Scandal” delivered a 1.4 and 5.29 million viewers, besting the 1.3 and 5.11 million mark garnered last week.

“The Catch” improved to a 0.7 rating and 3.07 million viewers; last week’s broadcast was good for a 0.6 and 2.98 million.
