Ratings: “Empire” Falls To Series Low For Eva Longoria’s Appearance, Still Wins Night

FOX’s “Empire” falls to another series low but still takes first place in adults 18-49.

An appearance by Eva Longoria did not spur ratings growth for FOX’s “Empire.” Wednesday’s episode, at least based on preliminary data, set series lows in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Screener, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 6.2 million overall viewers.

The series low numbers trail those of the previous episode, which drew a 2.3 and 6.59 million on April 12.

Despite the series low distinction, this week’s “Empire” still ranked as Wednesday’s #1 broadcast network show in adults 18-49. It trailed “Survivor,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Chicago PD” as the #3 show in viewership.

— FOX led into “Empire” with “Shots Fired,” which drew a 0.8 rating and 3.32 million viewers.
