Ratings: “Pretty Little Liars” Sinks To Viewership Low; “Famous In Love” Drops

Freeform’s Tuesday dramas suffered steep week-to-week declines.

In terms of live+same-day viewership, Tuesday’s “Pretty Little Liars” was the series’ least-watched regular episode ever.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 0.45 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 915,000 overall viewers. The numbers markedly trail the 0.65 rating and 1.33 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s midseason premiere.

Not simply a series low for regular episodes, this week’s viewership average is the first to ever fall below 1 million.

— Lead-out “Famous In Love” also endured a sharp decline this week.

This week’s episode drew a 0.16 adults 18-49 rating and 389,000 overall viewers. Last week’s series premiere posted a 0.30 adults 18-49 rating and 653,000.

Shows typically fall in week two, and “Famous In Love” faced a special challenge in the fact that the entire season has been made available for on demand streaming. Those factors, combined with weakened lead-in support from “Pretty Little Liars,” made the decline an inevitability.
