Ratings: HBO’s “The Leftovers” Falls From S3 Premiere; “Silicon Valley” Sinks To Low Without “GoT”

HBO’s “The Leftovers” declined this week. “Silicon Valley” & “Veep” hit viewership lows without “Game Of Thrones” support.

From a live+same-day standpoint, Sunday night’s “The Leftovers” endured week-to-week losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s episode drew a 0.34 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 0.78 million overall viewers. Last week’s third season premiere posted a 0.39 rating and 0.90 million overall viewers.

Airing out of “The Leftovers” rather than previous lead-in “Game Of Thrones,” Sunday’s fourth season “Silicon Valley” premiere drew its smallest live+same-day audience ever.

The episode drew a 0.44 adults 18-49 rating and 0.87 million overall viewers. No previous episode had drawn fewer than 1.5 million.

Veteran HBO comedy “Veep” tied last week’s episode in adults 18-49 but fell to a new low in overall viewership. It drew a 0.27 adults 18-49 rating and 0.63 million viewers; last week’s season premiere scored a 0.27 and 0.66 million.

“Last Week Tonight” closed HBO’s lineup with a 0.40 rating and 1.19 million viewers. Last week’s broadcast drew a 0.43 and 1.18 million.
