Update: In addition to topping the Mediabase country radio singles chart, Lauren Alaina’s “Road Less Traveled” claims #1 on this week’s Billboard Country Airplay chart.
It is her first #1 on either listing.
“I cannot believe I have the number one song in the country,” says Alaina. “I have dreamed of this day my entire life. The five singles, the ups and downs, the tears, the smiles, and the six years of hard work have made this moment so much sweeter. I am so thankful to everyone who helped me get to this point. Regardless of my future, I get to live the rest of my life saying I have written a number one song. Life made.”

Making good on projections, Lauren Alaina’s “Road Less Traveled” claims #1 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase country radio singles chart.
It is the first Lauren Alaina song to top the chart.
Up one spot from last week’s position, “Road Less Traveled” seizes the throne from Luke Bryan’s “Fast.” The Luke Bryan tune falls to #4 after a single week on top.
Not simply the leader in Mediabase chart points, “Road Less Traveled” also ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s most-played and most-heard song for the April 2-8 tracking week. It received ~8,915 spins (+788) and ~59.691 million audience impressions.
Just before the news became official, Alaina shared a celebratory video on her social media accounts.
Alaina co-wrote “Road Less Traveled” with Meghan Trainor and Jesse Frasure. It follows Rascal Flatts’ “I Like The Sound Of That” in becoming Trainor’s second country radio #1 as a writer.
Up one spot from last week’s position, Jason Aldean’s “Any Ol’ Barstool” earns #2 on this week’s chart. Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” rises two spots to #3, while “Fast” (#4, -3) and Jon Pardi’s “Dirt On My Boots” (#5, -1) complete the Top 5.
