Lauren Alaina’s “Road Less Traveled” Headed For #1 At Country Radio

Lauren Alaina on the verge of scoring her first country radio #1.

Following the first six days of the April 2-8 tracking week, “Road Less Traveled” is a dominant #1 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart. Given the size of its lead and its current momentum, the single will have no trouble retaining its #1 position through the close of tracking.

“Road Less Traveled” will thus claim the top spot on this week’s official Mediabase country radio singles chart. It will seize the throne from Luke Bryan’s “Fast,” which reached #1 last week.

“Road Less Traveled” may also claim #1 on Billboard’s corresponding Country Airplay chart, although it is too early to be certain of that outcome.

Co-written by Alaina, Meghan Trainor and Jesse Frasure, “Road Less Traveled” is the title track from the artist’s sophomore album. It received support from the iHeartRadio “On The Verge” program during August and September 2016.
