The Chainsmokers’ “Memories…Do Not Open” Pacing For 155K+ US Sales, 185K+ Units

Hits Daily Double projects that The Chainsmokers’ “Memories…Do Not Open” will win the US sales and consumption races.

Based on opening day sales data, the publication projects that “Memories” will sell 155-165,000 pure US copies during the April 7-13 tracking week. The figure will easily be enough for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Memories” should generate 185-195,000 in first-week US consumption units. Such a tally would convincingly position the album atop the Billboard 200.

Early projections have not been as accurate since the switch to a Friday-Thursday tracking week, but it is undeniably clear that The Chainsmokers’ album will make a big splash this week.

It is also worth noting that the duo will be playing Saturday night’s “SNL.”
