Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” Remains #1 At Hot AC; Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy” Joins Top 5

Despite a week-over-week spin decrease, Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” remains a dominant #1 on the Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

“Shape Of You” received ~7,498 spins during the March 26-April 1 tracking week. While the count trails last week’s mark by 95 plays, it convincingly keeps “Shape Of You” atop the chart. This week marks the song’s sixth at #1.

ZAYN & Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” holds at #2 with ~5,740 spins (-211), while Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful” retains #3 on the strength of its ~5,191 spins (-123).

Played ~5,127 times during the official tracking week (-40), Adele’s “Water Under The Bridge” holds at #4.

The first positional change comes at #5. Up one place from last week’s position, Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy” takes #5 on the strength of its ~5,027 tracking week spins (+416).

“Mercy” is the follow-up to “Treat You Better,” which was a multi-week #1 at Hot AC.
