Ruth B’s “Superficial Love” To Impact Hot AC Radio In April; TODAY Show Performance Confirmed

Since its release last month, Ruth B’s “Superficial Love” has been receiving some airplay at hot adult contemporary radio.

Label Columbia Records will look to markedly grow that airplay in the coming weeks.

Columbia confirms that the single will officially impact the Hot AC format in conjunction with the April 10 add board.

“Superficial Love” serves as the follow-up to Ruth B’s breakthrough hit “Lost Boy.” The single, which is certified double-platinum in the United States, reached the Top 10 at Hot AC last year.

It also enjoyed some success at pop radio and was named one of the 20 best pop hits of 2016 in Headline Planet’s annual countdown.

— In conjunction with its news about the song’s impact date, Columbia notes that Ruth B will perform “Superficial Love” on the April 6 TODAY Show.
