Thursday’s “Scandal” matched last week’s season low performance in the adults 18-49 demographic, but it did post a gain in average viewership.
“The Catch” was similarly flat (at a series low) in the demo and up in viewers, while “Grey’s Anatomy” was up in both columns.
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “Scandal” drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.80 million overall viewers. Last week’s episode drew a 1.4 demo rating but only 5.26 million in viewership.
8PM veteran “Grey’s Anatomy” posted a 2.0 and 7.95 million this week, besting the 1.9 and 7.31 million garnered by the previous broadcast. It is worth noting that “Grey’s Anatomy” may have most directly benefited from CBS’ March Madness coverage, which freed it from the usual “Big Bang Theory” competition in the 8-8:30PM half hour.
“The Catch” scored a 0.8 rating and 3.93 million viewers at 10PM; last week’s second season premiere was good for the same 0.8 in the demo but only 3.67 million overall audience members.
