Ratings: “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” Premiere Viewership Drops 33% From Last Year

The season thirteen “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” premiere drew markedly fewer viewers than the season 12 opener.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “KUWTK” drew a 0.70 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.48 million viewers.

The twelfth season premiere drew a 1.05 rating and 2.19 million viewers on May 1, 2016.

From a live+same-day viewership standpoint, this year’s opener was actually the least-watched premiere since early in the show’s run (the live+same-day qualification is important, since DVR and multi-platform usage is more prominent than it was during the show’s early seasons).

On the other hand, it outdrew the majority of non-premiere episodes from season 12 — including the November 20, 2016 season finale (1.14 million).

It was also a solid competitive option, ranking #6 among Sunday cable originals in adults 18-49.
