Ratings: “The Walking Dead” Dips Despite Lack Of Oscars Competition, Still Dominates Sunday

Unlike last week’s episode, this Sunday’s “The Walking Dead” did not face competition from the Academy Awards.

It still drew a smaller live+same-day audience.

According to L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “TWD” drew a 4.71 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 10.16 million total viewers. The numbers trail the 4.95 rating and 10.42 million garnered by last week’s episode in the face of Oscars competition.

This week’s live+same-day viewership figure is actually the show’s lowest since early season three.

Despite the week-to-week drop, “TWD” still dominantly ranked as Sunday night’s #1 show in adults 18-49. It was #3 in viewers among all Sunday night programs (beneath “Little Big Shots” and “60 Minutes”) and #1 among cable programs.

“TWD” led into “Talking Dead,” which drew a 1.56 rating and averaged 3.56 million overall viewers.
