Per overnight data, Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” ranked first among the three major network late-night shows in households and adults 18-49.
Tuesday’s episode, billed as “Trump-Free Tuesday,” came in third place for households. It tied for second in adults 18-49.
According to metered market data first shared by NBC, Tuesday’s “Kimmel” drew a 1.9 overnight household rating. It posted a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters.
The household rating trails the 2.7 drawn by CBS’ “Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and 2.2 posted by NBC’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
The adults 18-49 rating ties that achieved by “Colbert” but trails the 0.7 attained by “Fallon.”
While down in comparison to Monday’s episode (one that surely benefited from Kimmel’s involvement in Sunday night’s Oscars), it convincingly outperformed the previous Tuesday original.
Airing on February 14, that episode drew a 1.5 in households and a 0.4 in adults 18-49.
As noted, ABC positioned this Tuesday’s episode as “Trump-Free Tuesday.” The gimmick was that Kimmel would take a break from discussing President Trump, who has largely dominated late-night conversation for the past few years.
