The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” Received 271 Pop Spins In First Hours

The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” was released to radio Wednesday evening.

By the end of Wednesday, it had amassed 271 spins at the pop radio format.

The tally is enough for a #50 position on Mediabase’s building pop chart, which is based on airplay for the first four days of the February 19-25 tracking week.

Since “Something Just Like This” will continue to receive heavy airplay in the coming days, it should have no trouble maintaining its Top 50 standing through the close of tracking. In fact, it will almost certainly rise – perhaps considerably – from its current #50 position.

With “Something Just Like This” sure to command significant attention in the next few weeks, it will be interesting to see how The Chainsmokers’ other radio single “Paris” holds up. Columbia still identifies it as an active single, but will it be able to continue climbing as radio programmers also show love to the new Coldplay collaboration?
