Ratings: “The Walking Dead” Falls From Midseason Premiere, Still Dominates

When a show is as big as “The Walking Dead,” it can endure a week-to-week drop and remain a dominant performer.

That is what happened Sunday night.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s episode drew a 5.28 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 11.08 million total viewers.

The numbers trail the 5.72 rating and 12.00 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s midseason premiere (which faced the Grammys) but were the best posted by anything on television Sunday night.

The adults 18-49 rating actually more than doubles that posted by the NBA All-Star Game (2.63), which was the night’s #2 program.

“The Walking Dead” led into “Talking Dead,” which drew a 1.82 rating and 4.05 million viewers. Last week’s post-game show garnered a 2.15 rating and 4.80 million.
