It was a foregone conclusion that DJ Khaled’s new “Shining (featuring Beyonce & Jay Z)” would be sent for airplay at the rhythmic and urban radio formats.
What may not have presumed – but has since been confirmed – is that the song will also go for pop adds.
Epic Records confirms that the song is now impacting the pop/Top 40 format. The first wave of adds will be reported in conjunction with the February 14 pop radio add board.
“Shining” is, interestingly, one of two Epic tracks going for pop adds this week. Hardwell’s “Thinking About You (featuring Jay Sean)” is also impacting.
