For the sixth straight year, the oddsmakers correctly predicted three out of the “Big Four” Grammy Awards victories.
They correctly predicted Chance The Rapper for Best New Artist and Adele’s “Hello” for Record and Song of the Year.
They did not, however, select the correct Album Of The Year. While Beyonce’s “Lemonade” was named the betting favorite, Adele’s “25” was named the actual victor.
Adele therefore did what she did with “21” and “Rolling In The Deep” — she swept the major categories for which she was nominated.
In addition to “Lemonade,” “25” beat out Sturgill Simpson’s “A Sailor’s Guide To Earth,” Drake’s “Views,” and Justin Bieber’s “Purpose.”
