Ratings: ABC’s “Scandal” Falls From Season Premiere; “Grey’s,” “HTGAWM” Also Down

Facing stronger competition and lacking season/midseason premiere buzz, this week’s “TGIT” lineup suffered week-to-week losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “Scandal” drew 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and 6.57 million total viewers. Last week’s season premiere posted a 2.0 and 7.62 million.

Lead-in “Grey’s Anatomy” scored a 2.3 rating and 8.44 million in viewership this week. The previous “Grey’s” was good for a 2.6 and 9.59 million.

ABC’s Thursday concluded with “How To Get Away With Murder” (1.3, 4.69 million this week versus 1.5, 5.41 million last week).

Despite the decline, “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” remained #1 in their timeslots (for adults 18-49). “Grey’s Anatomy” was #2 beneath CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory”-“Superior Donuts” tandem (3.1/1.9).
