Marian Hill’s “Down” Receiving Pop Radio Airplay In San Francisco, New York, Augusta, More

Marian Hill’s “Down” is at the center of Apple’s new iPhone + AirPods commercial.

The song was issued to radio following the commercial’s premiere last weekend, and numerous high-profile pop stations are spinning the song.

According to Mediabase, New York’s 92.3 AMP played “Down” 16 times during the seven-day window between January 14-20. San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 also played it 16 times within that window, while SF’s 99.7 NOW and Augusta’s (Georgia) HD98.3 each offered 11 spins.

Other notable supporters include Detroit’s 98.7 AMP (9 spins), Rochester’s 98PXY (8 spins), Portland’s (Oregon) Live 95.5 (6 spins), and Kansas City’s 95.7 The Vibe.

Several more pop stations played the song twice or thrice during the past seven days. The song has also begun to receive some early looks at alternative radio.

Marian Hill performed “Down” on Friday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
