Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” Erupts As Hot AC Radio’s Most Added Song

Ed Sheeran’s new “Shape Of You” predictably claims the top spot on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary add board.

The new single was added by a whopping 81 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC stations this week.

The count is nearly seven times that of the next-most added song.

OneRepublic’s “Let’s Hurt Tonight,” that song, was picked up by 12 stations this week.

Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy” takes third with 9 adds, while an add count of 6 slots The Weeknd’s “I Feel It Coming (featuring Daft Punk)” in fourth place.

Picked up by another 5 stations, Kelly Clarkson’s “It’s Quiet Uptown” registers as fifth-most added. Ariana Grande’s “Side To Side (featuring Nicki Minaj)” lands in sixth with 4 adds.

With 3 adds each, Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful,” Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You,” Calum Scott’s “Dancing On My Own,” Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye (featuring Sean Paul & Anne-Marie),” and John Legend’s “Love Me Now” tie for seventh.
