Ratings: “The Mick” Builds On “New Girl” Lead-In, “Bones” Begins Final Season

Whereas Sunday’s “The Mick” premiere led out of FOX’s football coverage, Tuesday’s time period debut followed the network’s modestly rated comedy “New Girl.”

Predictably (and justifiably), ratings for Tuesday’s episode paled in comparison to those of the Sunday broadcast.

The episode deserves credit, however, for building on “New Girl” — and ranking as FOX’s top Tuesday show in the adults 18-49 demographic.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “The Mick” delivered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 3.33 million total viewers. The post-football premiere scored a 2.8 and 8.58 million.

To its credit, Tuesday’s “New Girl” (1.1, 2.50 million) delivered its second-best adults 18-49 rating and best viewership sum of the season. Those numbers nonetheless do not even remotely compare to the 3.5 and 11.25 million drawn by Sunday’s “The OT” (football post-game show).

Tuesday’s “The Mick” led into the final season premiere of “Bones,” which drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 3.43 million total viewers. Its performance was roughly on par (similar demo, a bit lower in viewership) with what the show was doing late last season.
