US Song Sales: Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” Ranks As 2016’s Best Seller

“Can’t Stop The Feeling,” Justin Timberlake’s chart-topping “Trolls” soundtrack single, was 2016’s best-selling song in the United States.

According to BuzzAngle Music’s year-end report, “Can’t Stop The Feeling” sold 2.488 million paid US downloads between January 1-December 29, 2016. The count comfortably positions “Can’t Stop The Feeling” at #1 on the list.

The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” takes #2 with 2.264 million, while Flo Rida’s “My House” garners #3 on the strength of its 2.245 million.

Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” (#4, 2.132 million) and Drake’s “One Dance” (#5, 2.097 million) complete the Top 5.

twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” (#6, 1.944 million), Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” (#7, 1.854 million), Rihanna’s “Work (featuring Drake)” (#8, 1.803 million), The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya)” (#9, 1.795 million), and twenty one pilots’ “Heathens” (#10, 1.785 million) complete the Top 10.

Drake, The Chainsmokers and twenty one pilots each have two songs in the Top 10; the latter two have two lead releases in the Top 10.
