Ratings: “America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular” Ranks As Monday’s Top Network Show; “The Wall” Wins Timeslot

It may not have done big ratings by “America’s Got Talent” standards, but Monday’s holiday special performed well enough for first place in adults 18-49.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s “America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular” averaged a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and 9.49 million total viewers from 8-10PM.

The 1.8 rating and 9.49 million viewer average were the best posted by a network television program Monday night.

CBS’ Michelle Obama-Oprah Winfrey special did, however, draw more viewers in the 8PM hour. While it averaged 9.39 million total viewers from 8-9PM, hour one of the “AGT” special averaged 9.14 million in its first hour. “AGT” still comfortably outperformed the CBS interview in the key demo; it drew a 1.8 from 8-9PM, while the interview settled for a 1.3.

“America’s Got Talent” led into the first episode of “The Wall,” which drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and 6.48 million total viewers in the 10-11PM timeslot. Among network programs, it won its timeslot — and ranked as the night’s #2 show — in adults 18-49.
