Monday afternoon, Machine Gun Kelly x Camila Cabello’s “Bad Things” returned to the Top 5 on the US iTunes single sales chart.
Tuesday afternoon, it re-entered the Top 3.
“Bad Things” moved past Pentatonix’s “Hallelujah” and then Gucci Mane’s “Both (featuring Drake)” to reach #3 on the all-genre chart. It currently only trails The Weeknd’s “Starboy (featuring Daft Punk)” and Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.”
The sales ascent comes as “Bad Things” continues to make gains at pop, rhythmic and hot adult contemporary radio. Through the first two days of the December 18-24 tracking week, its airplay is up 14% at pop radio and 23% at both rhythmic and Hot AC.
“Bad Things” has, moreover, been in the spotlight due to Camila Cabello’s widely covered departure from Fifth Harmony.
Notable about the song’s current ascent (compared to its previous trip to the apex of the listing) is that it is no longer being offered at the discounted, $0.69 price point.
