Joel McHale Confirmed As Host For 2017 People’s Choice Awards

Joel McHale, who stars on CBS’ “The Great Indoors,” will host the network’s coverage of the 2017 People’s Choice Awards.

CBS confirmed the news in a press release Monday.

“The people have spoken, and they want Jimmy Kimmel to host the 2017 Oscars,” said McHale. “And the people have also spoken, and said that it would be okay if I hosted the 2017 People’s Choice Awards. Well, one person said that. Luckily, that person was Les Moonves, so no one questioned it.”

The fan-voted awards show, which covers movies, television, music and digital, will air from 9-11PM ET/PT on January 18.
