Ratings: “Taraji’s White Hot Holidays” Sinks From Last Year; “Pitch” Season Finale Rises From Last Week

Ratings for FOX’s 2016 “White Hot Holidays” special paled in comparison to those of last year’s broadcast.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “Taraji’s White Hot Holidays” drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 3.46 million total viewers. The numbers sharply trail the 1.5 rating and 5.10 million viewer mark drawn by last year’s special, which also starred Terrence Howard and was called “Taraji & Terrence’s White Hot Holidays.”

Of note is the fact that this year’s special faced competition from Thursday Night Football. Last year’s broadcast aired on Wednesday, December 9.

While not a strong ratings performer, “White Hot Holidays” did outdraw recent installments of regular timeslot occupant “Rosewood” in adults 18-49. Airing with that elevated lead-in — and buzz over it being the season (and potentially series) finale — “Pitch” rose to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating and 2.88 million total viewers.

Last week’s “Pitch” settled for a 0.7 and 2.39 million viewers.
