Tyler Joseph Tops Hot 100 Songwriters List; Max Martin, Drake, Justin Bieber, Greg Kurstin In Top 5

The success of twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out,” “Ride” and “Heathens” earns member Tyler Joseph the top spot on this year’s Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters listing.

The chart ranks the top 25 songwriters based on Hot 100 success achieved in 2016.

Veteran hitmaker Max Martin takes #2 on the list, while Drake grabs #3.

Justin Bieber (#4) and Greg Kurstin (#5) complete the Top 5.

Adele (#6), Mike Posner (#7), Drew Taggart (of The Chainsmokers) (#8), Shellback (#9), and Benny Blanco (#10) follow to form the balance of the Top 10.

Six of the aforementioned names — Joseph, Drake, Bieber, Adele, Posner, Taggart — have achieved their greatest public recognition as credited performers. Other recognizable, active performers on the list include Desiigner (#11), Taylor Swift (#13), Ed Sheeran (#16), Calvin Harris (#17), Future (#19), and The Weeknd (#20).
