“Moana” Wins Second Straight Weekend Box Office, “Incarnate” Debuts At #9

“Moana” repeats as the US weekend box office champ.

The animated film added an estimated $28.4 million to its tally this weekend, which easily ranks as the box office’s best. The film’s cume now stands at $119.9 million.

Credited with $18.5 million in weekend receipts, “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” holds at #2. Its release-to-date total is now $183.5 million.

Up two places, “Arrival” grabs #3 with $7.3 million (cume now $73.1 million). “Allied” holds at #4 with $7.1 million (cume now $28.9 million), and “Doctor Strange” drops two spots to #5 with $6.5 million (cume now $215.3 million).

Low-budget “Incarnate,” the widest new release, starts with a soft $2.7 million from just over 1700 theaters. It takes #9 on the weekend chart.
