L+3 Ratings: “Elena And The Secret Of Avalor” Ranks As 2016’s Top Cable Telecast In Kids Demo

Disney’s “Elena And The Secret Of Avalor” was a ratings success, particularly in the kids 2-11 demographic.

Citing live+3 ratings data, Disney says the initial November 20 airing drew 4.4 million total viewers across Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Just under 2.25 million of those viewers were in the target 2-11 demographic.

The kids 2-11 figure is the best posted by a cable telecast in 2016.

The special fared especially well with Hispanic children, drawing a 6.2 rating with Hispanic girls 2-5 and a 4.2 rating with Hispanic girls 2-11. Those ratings are the best posted by any TV broadcast this quarter.

With encores included, “Elena And The Secret Of Avalor” has thus far reached 12.2 million total viewers.

“Kids love Elena and parents love Elena and our success is a testament to the talented creative team that has poured its collective heart into delivering meaningful stories led by a princess character who embodies it all – grace, elegance, bravery and compassion,” said Disney Junior’s Nancy Kanter.
