A Tribe Called Quest, Garth Brooks Leading US Album Sales Race; ATCQ Pacing For #1 On BB200

A Tribe Called Quest’s new “We Got It From Here” and Garth Brooks’ Target box set are on track to be the week’s best-selling albums.

According to Hits Daily Double, “We Got It From Here” is expected to sell 104-109,000 pure US copies by the close of tracking. Garth Brooks’ set should move 94-99,000.

While Brooks’ collection has a chance of closing the gap in pure sales, A Tribe Called Quest’s album is a safe bet to post the week’s greatest consumption total. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “We Got It From Here” should generate 124-129,000 in total first-week consumption units. TEA and SEA are not in play for the Garth Brooks release.

Consumption informs the Billboard 200.

Pentatonix’s “A Pentatonix Christmas” will likely be #3 on the sales (Top Album Sales) and consumption (Billboard 200) charts. Hits projects the album to move another 46-50,000 pure copies and generate 52-56,000 units this week.
