Rae Sremmurd & Gucci Mane’s “Black Beatles” Reaches #1 On Hot 100

It may be the centerpiece of the “Mannequin Challenge,” but Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles (featuring Gucci Mane)” does not hold still on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

The single rockets eight places to #1 on this week’s chart.

In doing so, it brings an end (at least for now) to the twelve-week reign of The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey).” It also becomes the first #1 hit achieved by either act.

The ascent to #1 comes thanks to dominant weekly sales and streaming numbers. While it is not yet a huge radio hit, it is also garnering substantial attention at the urban, rhythmic and pop formats.

“Closer” drops to #2 on this week’s chart. The full Top 10 is being revealed:

10) Maroon 5 – Don’t Wanna Know ft. Kendrick Lamar (+1)
9) D.R.A.M. – Broccoli ft. Lil Yachty (-4)
8) Zay Hilfigerrr & Zayion McCall – JuJu On That Beat (=)
7) Ariana Grande – Side To Side ft. Nicki Minaj (-1)
