Kenny Chesney Wins US Album Sales Race, But Jeezy’s “Trap Or Die 3” Claims #1 On Billboard 200

Billboard confirms a split chart scenario for the October 28-November 3 US album tracking week.

Kenny Chesney’s “Cosmic Hallelujah” debuts at #1 on the Top Album Sales chart, but Jeezy’s “Trap Or Die 3” earns the top spot on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

“Cosmic Hallelujah” tops the former with what Billboard reports as 79K in pure first week US album sales.

“Trap Or Die 3” only sold 73K pure copies, but it received a bigger total lift from TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500). It generated just over 89K in total first week US consumption.

The Chesney album, which takes #2 on the Billboard 200, generated just under 89K in weekly consumption.

Credited with 87K first week units, Meek Mill’s “DC4” takes #3 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart. Avenged Sevenfold debuts at #4 with 76K units, while Lady Gaga’s “Joanne” falls from #1 to #5 with 60K in second-week consumption units.
