Another day, another American Music Awards performer announcement.
In a Wednesday press release, ABC and dick clark productions revealed that Green Day and twenty one pilots will each be taking the stage at the 2016 ceremony.
Both acts are enjoying a strong year; Green Day scored a #1 active rock single in “Bang Bang” and a #1 album in “Revolution Radio.” Twenty One Pilots has completely broken through, with singles “Stressed Out,” “Ride,” and “Heathens” all proving to be massive, multi-format hits. The duo’s album “Blurryface” continues to be one of the hottest LPs in music.
Previously confirmed AMA performers include Bruno Mars, Sting, and Lady Gaga.
The 2016 AMAs ceremony takes place on November 20. ABC’s broadcast begins at 8PM ET.
