Update: The final Wednesday ratings report confirms that The CW’s “Frequency” did not, in fact, rise from last week.
It did, however, hold steady despite competition from the presidential debate and weakened lead-in support from “Arrow.”
According to national data posted by Showbuzz, “Frequency” drew a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating and 1.04 million total viewers. Last week’s broadcast drew a 0.3 and 1.08 million.
The CW led into “Frequency” with “Arrow,” which posted a 0.6 rating and 1.79 million in viewership. Last week’s episode drew a 0.7 and 1.94 million.

Positioned against the third presidential debate, Wednesday’s “Frequency” enjoyed a week-to-week gain in adults 18-49.
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz (live+same-day), the episode drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.05 million total viewers.
The demo rating bests the 0.3 drawn by last week’s episode. The viewership sum, on the other hand, trails last week’s 1.08 million mark.
Of note: “Frequency” actually received reduced lead-in support from “Arrow.” This week’s episode drew a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating and 1.80 million total viewers; last week’s “Arrow” managed a 0.7 and 1.94 million total viewers.
While the “Frequency” performance is admirable in context, a 0.4 rating is not particularly worthy of celebration. It still reflects very limited interest in the show.
The CW was the only major broadcast network not to air the 9-10:30PM debate.
