Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” Reaches 7X Platinum In US; “Company” Certified Platinum

On October 12, the second single from Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” ascended to a new level of multi-platinum in the United States.

The fourth single, meanwhile, went platinum.

The RIAA confirms that Bieber’s “Sorry” was certified 7x platinum on October 12. The certification confirms 7 million in US digital units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Company” earned a platinum certification. The honor confirms 1 million in US digital units.

— A single featuring Justin Bieber also ascended to platinum status last week. The RIAA issued the certification to Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MO).”
