Green Day’s “Bang Bang” Returns To #1 At Active Rock Radio

Last week, Green Day’s “Bang Bang” ceded its active rock radio throne to Metallica’s “Hardwired.”

This week, it returns to #1.

“Bang Bang” received ~2,191 spins during the September 25-October 1 tracking week. The count trails last week’s mark by 16 but allows Green Day’s single to rise from #2 to #1.

This marks the song’s fourth week at #1.

The Pretty Reckless’ “Take Me Down” also rises one spot, in its case moving from #3 to #2. It received ~2,099 weekly spins (+40).

Down two places, the aforementioned “Hardwired” claims #3. It received ~2,026 weekly spins (-277).

The fairly big week-over-week loss coincides with early support for Metallica’s new single “Moth Into Flame.” The new track received ~360 spins during the tracking week.

KoRn’s “Rotting In Vain” holds at #4 with ~1,377 spins (+95), while Prophets of Rage’s “Prophets Of Rage” stays at #5 thanks to its ~1,238 plays (no change).
