Ratings: “Designated Survivor” Falls From Premiere, Still Wins Timeslot

Episode two of “Designated Survivor” endured non-trivial losses from last week’s premiere.

It still ranked as its timeslot’s top show.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Designated Survivor” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and 7.91 million total viewers.

Though respectively down 18% and 21% from last week’s figures, the numbers were the best posted by a network series in the 10PM slot.

The closest adults 18-49 competition came from NBC’s “Chicago PD,” which drew a 1.5. CBS’ “Code Black” (6.35 million) was second in viewership.

ABC’s other Wednesday programming included “The Goldbergs” (1.9/6.45m this week vs. 2.0/6.90m last week), “Speechless” (1.8/6.40m vs. 2.0/7.38m), “Modern Family” (2.3/7.34m vs. 2.6/8.24m) and “black-ish” (1.6/5.56m vs. 2.0/6.39m).
