Ratings: “This Is Us” Stays Strong In Week Two, Again Dominates Timeslot

A substantial number of live+same-day viewers sampled last week’s “This Is Us” premiere.

It appears many liked what they saw. The show endured only a slight drop in week two.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “This Is Us” drew a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating and 8.85 million total viewers. The numbers — particularly the demo figure — only modestly trail the 2.8 rating and 10.07 million total viewers drawn by last week’s debut.

It obviously helps that “This Is Us” is receiving lead-in support from “The Voice,” which is Tuesday’s top performer in adults 18-49.

The music juggernaut was, however, down slightly this week. Last Tuesday’s episode drew a 3.4 rating and 12.29 million viewers; this Tuesday’s edition drew a 3.2 rating and 11.85 million total viewers.

The two shows dominated their timeslots in adults 18-49. They placed second behind CBS’ oppositional programming in total viewers.
