“The Magnificent Seven” Wins Weekend Box Office; “Storks” Debuts At #2

“The Magnificent Seven” predictably claims first place on the US weekend box office chart.

Per studio estimates, the film will gross $35.0 million by the close of Sunday. The tally will position “Seven” as a convincing #1.

Set for #2, “Storks” will take $21.8 million in its debut weekend.

“Sully,” last week’s winner, dips to #3 with $13.8 million in weekend receipts (cume now $92.4 million), while “Bridget Jones’s Baby” drops one spot to #4 with $4.5 million (cume now $16.5 million).

Credited with $4.1 million in weekend receipts, “Snowden” falls one spot to #4 (cume now $15.1 million).
