Ratings: “The Case Of JonBenet Ramsey” Debuts Impressively

Competition from Sunday Night Football and the Primetime Emmy Awards did not prevent CBS’ “The Case Of JonBenet Ramsey” from attracting a solid live+same-day audience.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, CBS averaged a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and 10.29 million total viewers during the 8:30-10:30PM window.

CBS’ Sunday lineup was delayed due to afternoon football, so “JonBenet” did not precisely air from 8:30-10:30PM. There may, therefore, be adjustments in the final ratings report.

Still, that timeslot is close enough to when “JonBenet” actually aired to ensure reasonably accurate ratings. We can thus confidently say that CBS’ investigation series fared well Sunday night.

Originally set as a six-hour special, “JonBenet” will now be a four-hour event. The final two hours air Monday night.
