Kings Of Leon’s “Waste A Moment” Ranks As Alternative Radio’s Most Added Song

A whopping 43 Mediabase-monitored alternative stations opted not to waste any time showing support for Kings Of Leon’s “Waste A Moment.” They picked up the song in conjunction with this week’s impact.

The support, which more than triples that of the next-most added song, easily positions “Waste A Moment” atop the weekly add board.

Jimmy Eat World’s “Sure And Certain” takes second with 13 adds, while Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new single “Go Robot” grabs third on the strength of its 12 pickups.

With add counts of 9 and 8, The Strumbellas’ “We Don’t Know” and Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness’ “Fire Escape” respectively take fourth and fifth place.

This week’s other notable alternative options: Empire Of The Sun’s “High And Low” (6 adds, 6th-most), The Griswolds’ “Out Of My Head” (4 adds, 7th-most, tie), K.Flay’s “Blood In The Cut” (4 adds, 7th-most, tie), Catfish And The Bottlemen’s “7” (3 adds, 9th-most, tie), Coin’s “Talk Too Much” (3 adds, 9th-most, tie), Grouplove’s “Welcome To Your Life” (3 adds, 9th-most, tie), Highly Suspect’s “My Name Is Human” (3 adds, 9th-most, tie), Judah & The Lion’s “Take It All Back” (3 adds, 9th-most, tie), and The Struts’ “Put Your Money On Me.”
