Jason Aldean’s “They Don’t Know” Pacing To Win Sales Race; Bastille’s “Wild World” To Sell 31K+

Based on its opening day sales performance, Jason Aldean’s “They Don’t Know” is on track to convincingly win the US sales race.

Hits Daily Double projects an opening week sales total of 125-140,000 pure US copies. While a far cry from the 278,000 moved by previous album “Old Boots, New Dirt,” the tally should easily be enough for #1 on Top Album Sales.

“They Don’t Know” is not currently available for streaming, but it should receive at least 5,000 additional units from TEA (track sales/10). The projected consumption total of 130-145,000 units should earn Aldean’s album #1 on the Billboard 200.

Aldean’s album is by far the highest-profile new release. The next best performers among newcomers will be Bastille’s “Wild World” (~31-36,000 US sales, 35-40,000 total units) and The Beatles’ “Live At The Hollywood Bowl” (~30-35,000 US sales, 33-38,000 total units).
