Friday morning, Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” seized the US iTunes throne from The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey).”
Saturday morning, “Closer” returned to #1 on the US iTunes single sales chart. “Perfect Illusion” is down to #2.
Given that “Perfect Illusion” only ruled for about 24 hours, never held a massive lead and appears to be suffering a slowdown in sales pace, “Closer” is poised to once again win the weekly US single sales race.
twenty one pilots’ “Heathens” is currently #3 on iTunes, while Sia’s “The Greatest (featuring Kendrick Lamar)” is #4.
Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” is #5.
