Upon breaking the news that Kings Of Leon’s “Waste A Moment” was scheduled to impact Triple A radio the week of September 12, Headline Planet noted that the single would likely make its digital debut on September 9.
The band has since confirmed that release date. “Waste A Moment” — the opening track and first single from the band’s forthcoming album “WALLS” — arrives September 9.
Kings Of Leon began Tweeting a seven-day countdown on September 2. It also shared a teaser video on Instagram (embedded below).
Presumably to preserve the surprise (one we unfortunately ruined), “Waste A Moment” no longer appears on AllAccess/Mediabase’s list of songs impacting Triple A radio on September 12.
The September 9 release is nonetheless confirmed, and sources say an imminent radio push is indeed planned. Airplay should start immediately following release, and the first “adds” will be reported during the week of September 12.
