Britney Spears Sings “Me, Myself & I” Chorus During VMAs; Bebe Rexha Calls It An “Amazing Moment”

Britney Spears and G-Eazy joined forces to perform “Make Me” at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Their collaborative single was not, however, the only song they sang. The two artists also incorporated portions of G-Eazy’s smash “Me, Myself & I” into the performance.

G-Eazy rapped some of his lines from the song, while Spears sang Bebe Rexha’s chorus.

The move prompted active discussion on social media. Should Rexha, who was in attendance, feel honored that the pop icon sang her lines? Or should she feel slighted that she was not given the chance to sing?

Rexha’s immediate response was to post the “flushed” emoji on Twitter. Many of those who replied, interestingly, seemed to interpret her Tweet as one of sadness or frustration.

Rexha quickly cleared matters up in a follow-up Tweet.

“Amazing moment hearing one of my idols perform MM&I tonight. ?? @britneyspears,” wrote Rexha. She also included a picture of the two posing backstage.
