USA Network’s “Mr. Robot” Renewed For Season 3

“Mr. Robot” does not deliver good live+same-day ratings.

It has, however, been generating levels of critical acclaim, influencer buzz and awards attention unlike anything previously achieved by a USA Network series.

It is also an in-house Universal Cable production.

For network brass, the positives outweigh the negatives. USA has officially renewed “Mr. Robot” for a third season.

“We couldn’t be more proud of MR. ROBOT, a series that has pushed boundaries, captured the cultural zeitgeist, and been honored as one of the best dramas on television,” said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “Midway through its second season, MR. ROBOT continues to break new ground and open up new opportunities for the network. We can’t wait to see where Sam Esmail and the entire brilliant ROBOT team take us next.”

“Mr. Robot” is midway through its second season. Season three is set to air in 2017.
