Drake & Rihanna’s “Too Good” Likely Going Top 10 At Rhythmic Radio

Once again poised to rank as the greatest weekly airplay gainer, Drake’s “Too Good (featuring Rihanna)” should claim a Top 10 position on this week’s Mediabase rhythmic radio airplay chart.

“Too Good” received 2,242 spins during the first five days of the August 7-13 tracking period. Up 55.4% from last week’s mark, the count slots “Too Good” at #10 on the building chart.

Its present leads over Fifth Harmony’s building #11 “All In My Head (Flex) (featuring Fetty Wap)” (2,240 spins) and Sia’s building #12 “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul)” (2,230) are very narrow, but it has decidedly more momentum. It is up 55.4% week-to-week, while the Fifth Harmony and Sia songs are respectively up 3.1% and 17.5%.

The advantages are not enough to absolutely guarantee a Top 10 spot, but they bode very well for the song’s chances.

Drake topped the previous two rhythmic charts with fellow “Views” single “Controlla.” He appears as a featured artist on DJ Khaled’s “For Free,” which is poised to reach #1 on this week’s chart. And insofar as his former #1 “One Dance” is still impressively positioned at #7 on the building chart, “Too Good” would represent his fourth song in the Top 10.

It would be Rihanna’s third. Her “Needed Me” is #3 on the building chart, while Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For (featuring Rihanna)” is #4.
