Any doubt that DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You (featuring Justin Bieber)” would be made available to US radio has been erased. The track, which is currently #1 on the US iTunes single sales chart, was issued to radio programmers and professionals on this week’s “A” HitDisc compilation.
“Each week, TM Studios programmers, working directly with the record labels and utilizing Mediabase research, select the new releases most likely to be added by programmers,” says TM Studios of its HitDisc compilation series.
The “A” disc features tracks geared toward the adult contemporary, hot adult contemporary, pop, rhythmic, or urban radio formats. The track list tends to include songs first being issued to radio, songs officially going for adds, songs being delivered to different formats, or edits/remixes of previously released songs.
While Interscope has yet to formally confirm a radio push for “Let Me Love You,” the writing has been on the wall since yesterday. The label’s radio promotions team suddenly removed “Talk (with George Maple)” — the song that had represented DJ Snake’s official radio single — from its pop roster.
Other songs featured on this week’s “A” disc include Joshua Radin’s “High & Low,” Gregory Darling’s “That’ll Be The Day,” Tove Lo’s “Cool Girl,” Shaggy’s “That Love,” Dua Lipa’s “Hotter Than Hell,” Afrojack’s “Gone (featuring Ty Dolla $ign),” Meghan Trainor’s “Better (featuring Yo Gotti),” Martin Garrix’s “In The Name Of Love (featuring Bebe Rexha),” a clean version of T-Pain’s “My Shoes (featuring Notty Black & Kaliko),” a clean version of Dreezy’s “Close To You (featuring T-Pain),” a clean version of Lupe Fiasco’s “Pick Up The Phone,” Rocko’s “99 Ways (featuring Jazze Pha),” an “xtra clean” edit of twenty88’s “Deja Vu,” Daddy Yankee’s “Shaky Shaky,” and a clean version of Beyonce’s “Hold Up.”
