The cast of USA Network’s longest-running active drama will suit up for another season.
In conjunction with Wednesday’s Television Critics Association press tour event, USA confirmed that “Suits” has been renewed for season 7.
The renewal is unsurprising; “Suits” remains one of the network’s standout performers. On a live+3 basis, the recently commenced sixth season is drawing an average audience of 3 million, with 1.1 million falling into the key adults 18-49 demographic.
— USA also announced premiere dates for new dramas “Falling Water” and “Eyewitness.” The former will premiere at 10PM on October 13, while the latter will launch at 10PM on October 16.
Official synopses follow:
FALLING WATER is the story of three unrelated people who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. The deeper they dig, the more they come to realize that the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world. Lizzie Brocheré (“American Horror Story: Asylum”), David Ajala (“Fast & Furious 6”) and Will Yun Lee (“Hawaii 5-0”) star.
The series, from Universal Cable Productions, is executive produced by Hurd of Valhalla Entertainment, Masters and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (“28 Weeks Later”) who also directed the pilot. The late Emmy® Award-winner Henry Bromell (“Homeland”) executive produced the pilot.
EYEWITNESS is a bone-chilling crime thriller that delves into the lives of two teenage boys after they secretly meet up in a cabin, bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen — and when you witness a horrible event, it changes everything. Adapted from the critically acclaimed Norwegian drama “Øyevitne,” the series stars Julianne Nicholson (“Black Mass,” “Masters of Sex”), Gil Bellows (“Ascension,” “11.22.63”), Tyler Young (“Empire”), and James Paxton (“Term Life”).
From Universal Cable Productions, EYEWITNESS is executive produced by Hasak. Jarl Emsell Larsen and Scott Peters (“V,” “The 4400”) and Jackie de Crinis also serve as executive producers. Peters will also direct multiple episodes of the series and Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight,” “Miss You Already”) will executive produce the pilot and direct the first two episodes.
